More Money for the Farmers

We believe small producers deserve more. We want to increase their income. And this is how we do it.

gebana Premium

We return 10 % of the sales price from our online shop directly to family farmers as an unconditional premium, paid on top of the organic price. These payments are made regardless of our profitability. They are funded by our B2C customers and do not affect wholesale prices. Read more about the gebana premium and why we share ou revenue here.

Fairtrade Premium

gebana BV, as well as most of our suppliers, are certified Fairtrade by Fairtrade International. In addition, we actively support producer groups in obtaining and maintaining their certification, helping them meet the required standards and strengthen their market access.

Living Income Reference Price

For our key products – cashews, mangos, and cocoa – we have calculated a Living Income Reference Price (LIRP) with Fairtrade International and are working to close the gap with the prices currently paid.
Customers can support this by paying the LIRP or contributing through additional premiums alongside our gebana Premiums. With these systems, we ensure premiums reach family farmers directly via mobile payments.
